  • Biography:

I am a California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving as a case manager at Kaiser Permanente South Valley Center in the Adult Psychiatry Department. I serve on the Regional Best Practices committees for both Dual Diagnosis and Case Management, and have been facilitating groups for Adults Molested as Children and also for Dual Diagnosis populations since 2002 and 2004, respectively.

I facilitate Mindfulness Movement classes as well as a socialization/life skill group, in addition to seeing my regular patient caseload and providing therapy in the Intensive Outpatient Program. I served on the Domestic Violence Committee at the Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center until 2007 and on the Quality Assurance Committee there until the autumn of 2009. I was honored to win the Outstanding Service Award for the second quarter of 2009.

I am now also a doctoral candidate in psychology at Saybrook University in San Francisco, where my dissertation topic is the role of dreams and dreamlike experiences in spiritual emergence processes. Additionally, I am a published author of several articles and book reviews, as well as the author of an unpublished manuscript entitled Carrying On: A workbook for women who’ve lost a pregnancy. I have presented on numerous psychoeducational topics in the community and am in charge of the CEU aspect of the training luncheons for MFTs and LCSWs at Kaiser South Valley Center.
