In 2010, I was the physician on a private tour exploring Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and ending in Bangkok, Thailand. After exploring London, we headed to the remote country of Mali. Our group of 40 travelers from the US were taken on our charter 757 plane to the ancient city of Luxor, Egypt. The city exudes history and beauty. From the Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings and the burial place of King Tutankhamun (Tut), a hot air balloon ride over the Nile at sunrise, and a leisurely ride on the Nile, Luxor stood out in its beauty. After Luxor, the trip unfolded as we visited the Hidden City of Petra, Jordan, the Taj Mahal in India, Nepal’s capital of Kathmandu, Bhutan in the remote Himalayas, with a finale in gorgeous Bangkok, Thailand.
Feluccas Ending Another Day: Sunset on the Nile in Luxor, Egypt
This photo was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T1 SLR. In 2010, after a day of touring the ancient Egyptian Valley of the Kings and preparing to explore the Luxor Temple at night, I took this photo from my hotel balcony.
