I am an Emergency Medicine Physician at the Moanalua Medical Center in Hawaii. I have worked in ceramics for many years, starting my own pottery studio, Black Dog, in Mokuleia, Hawaii. A number of years ago I began painting, following a family tradition, and I find that it balances my life as a physician, father, and husband. It allows time for contemplation, meditation, and creativity.
KaIwi is a coastline on Oahu that is beautiful with lava cliffs meeting the Pacific Ocean with frequent large swells and whales during the winter months.
